Career Development Services for Grades 6 to 9 and High School
- After training on myBlueprint.ca teachers will be able to align classroom instruction with the Saskatchewan Grades 6 to 9 Career Education curriculum, including Outcomes and Indicators
- The online tool has over 100 lesson plans that are editable and often with Handouts.
- A teacher can enroll students in myblueprint.ca and invite them to an online classroom.
Teachers will be trained to instruct and monitor student career development progress online with myblueprint.ca. Online content is secure and is age and grade-appropriate. Teachers will find this online program helpful when doing student assessments.

Course Selection Services for Grades 10 to 12
After training on the career development website myblueprint.ca:
- Teachers will be able to guide grade 9 to 12 students to enter course selection online.
- Grade 9 to 12 students will be able to plan their courses online and independently, for the current year and for future years.
- Students can display their course plans on a computer or smartphone for others to see.
Student progress can be monitored by supportive career counselors..

Resume Services for Grades 9 to 12
After training on the career development website myblueprint.ca:
- Grade 9 to 12 students will be able to make their own online resume, cover letter and portfolio independently. Teachers will be able to monitor and guide them.
- Students with few office skills will be able to make their own resumes more easily so they can focus on content. This allows students to work independently, and with family.
Students will be able to display and share their resumes with others from any device.

Personal Finance and Financial Literacy Services for
grades 9 to 12
After training on the career development website myblueprint.ca:
- Grade 9 to 12 students with few office skills will be able to make budgets more easily
- Teachers will be able to help students focus on realistic budget expenses and income.
- Students will be able to display and share their budgets with others from any device.

B. Saskatchewan High School Career Education

Supports for Grads and their individual high school completion:
- Every Graduate has a Team of family, teachers, elders, and friends to help them get to the finish line.
- The Career Guidance Coordinator and Ambassadors use a student-centered service approach to support school staff as they rally around this year’s graduates along with community members.
- The Career Guidance Team brings additional strategies and resources to this effort. Strategies that support Grade12 completion don’t rely just on attendance and good marks; but also on culture, school participation, and other school related relationships.
- This team effort known as ‘Grad Coaching’ is used in many schools in Canada.

Safety Certifications for use in Student Resumes –
Grades 10 to 12:
- The Career Guidance Team trains instructors to use online Safety Education Programs for Grades 10 to 12 Students as supplied by the Saskatchewan Safety Council
- Students will receive 3 safety certificates: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, Young Workers Readiness Certificate Course, and one more industry elective.
- This certificate is highly valued and sometimes required, by many employers.

Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Grades 10 to 12:
- The Career Guidance Team supports teachers with resources and enrolments in SYA
- High school students who complete the “SYA Passport” are eligible for free registration in the Apprenticeship trade of their choice when they apply with an employer.
- The Career Guidance Team supports teachers in helping students meet the SYA Passport Challenges, in class.

Career Exploration Events:
- The Career Guidance Team works with school staff to assess student needs in support of events such as the Flying Career Symposium (Virtual in 2021) and to facilitate new events.

Individual Student Career Development for Grades 6 to 12:
- The Career Guidance Team will supply current updated post-secondary information, trades related resources, and career-related resources to teachers and career guidance counselors and ambassadors.

Student Success - Monitor High School Credit Attainment:
- The Career Guidance Team will provide Administrators with data and reporting on the progress of high school students as they approach graduation and meaningful work. help to inform students with the selection of courses that best meets their career plans and desired futures. This service is a team facilitation effort known as ‘Success Coaching’.

Industry Engagement Liaison:
- The Career Guidance Coordinator will seek out opportunities, tying Industry to Education.
- The processes of partnering, grant writing and mining for sponsors will be used by the Career guidance Coordinator to build on current funding and support from both the local business community and corporate sponsors.
